Currently, I am a director of brand management at Bravado, the merchandising company under Universal Music Group where i oversee a roster of legends in the music industry.
@thegoodlai is my newest brain child where mood meets food and everything good. A graphic representation of all of my favorite things that include food, music, travel, and more. @currentlai is where my love for a play on words & everything that i currently love lives and breathes in doodle form. Selfishly, I needed something that was 100% mine - look, feel, color, copy - everything. So these 2 projects are essential.
The journey began when I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Communication Design at Parsons: The New School for Design in May 2013 where I was able to take my passion and turn it into my livelihood. Throughout my time in school full time, I have been fortunate to work with companies such as Tommy Hilfiger, Jeffrey Campbell, Pixie Market, VEDA, Stolen Girlfriends Club, Diesel, BB Dakota, Reformation, and Urban Outfitters (if i was going to be in school in the city, i needed to take advantage of any opportunity i could get).
Over the past decade, I have been able to learn all aspects of the industry, from sales to public relations to marketing to contribute back to how I design.
I'm a sucker for puns & have a fear of pigeons (chose the right city to live in, right?). When I'm not designing, I'm usually at the movies or trying a new restaurant (or just sticking with my second home aka my favorite, mokyo or thursday kitchen).
